A message to our community on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

We are in the middle of cold and flu season, and several Covid-19 coronavirus cases have now been reported within the US. Nothing is more important to us than the safety and well being of our kids, so we are watching the situation very closely and taking all proper precautions to make sure our facilities remain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Effective today, we are expanding upon our already comprehensive cleaning, health and safety procedures.

Hand sanitizer - We will be strictly enforcing our existing policy that all kids, staff, and visitors use hand sanitizer as they enter and exit the studio as well as after restroom use. Throughout each of our locations, there are wall mounted, electric (touch-free) commercial hand sanitizers manufactured by Purell. We use Purell Advanced Hand Sanitizer, which is the most popular hand sanitizer used in hospitals, and kills 99.99% of most common germs, including Covid-19.

Cleaning - Every 2 hours, and before and after every session, all door handles, glass, counter tops, iPads, water fountains, bathroom entries, keyboards, tabletops, and child lockers/cubbies are disinfected with Lysol disinfecting wipes, which contain ammonium chloride and kill 99.9% of viruses and bacteria, including Covid-19. Items which are used by multiple people, including the iPads used at reception will also be cleaned after each use. To help further restrict the spread of illness, we are also installing HEPA air filtration systems (the same kind they use in hospitals and clinics) at each of our locations, and are increasing the number of visits from our commercial cleaners at each location, from three to five times per week.

Our staff - We think of our team like family, and we are happy to say that everyone is currently very healthy. We are carefully monitoring our offices and studios, and anyone who starts exhibits symptoms, or is exposed to someone who is exhibiting symptoms of an illness such as the common cold or the flu will not be permitted into any studio location or Codeverse office. We will also not be scheduling anyone to work in a studio location if they have recently travelled (or they live with someone who has recently travelled) to any country for which the CDC has listed a warning.

You and your family - If you or your child is feeling unwell, or has been exposed to someone exhibiting symptoms of an illness such as the common cold or the flu, then it is important to stay home and not to come into the studio. Please contact our team and we will help make other arrangements so your child can continue to learn and code at home with support from our expert staff. We have prepared fun materials for use at home, and are able to provide kids with virtual (video) sessions.

As this dynamic situation evolves, Codeverse will continue to exceed recommended measures by health authorities to ensure the absolute best environment for you and your family. If you have questions or believe we can be doing more, then please let us know by emailing us at support@codeverse.com.
