This week, we're celebrating Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) at our Lincoln Park, Naperville, and Wilmette coding studios. CSEdWeek (Dec 9-13) is an annual program dedicated to inspiring K-12 students to take interest in and increasing access to computer science education. Codeverse is proud to be hosting multiple events at our studios to celebrate this mission.
Here's how you (and your child's school!) can get involved.
School field trips We have availability December 5th-9th for schools to join us for a free 75-minute coding workshop at our Lincoln Park, Naperville, and Wilmette studios. Are you an educator or school administrator interested in booking a field trip at our state-of-the-art studio? Contact email@example.com for more information!
In addition to field trips, schools may sign up to receive free Codeverse coding kits to perform an introductory coding lesson in the classroom and send kids home with a free month of Codeverse:Explorer. Sign up here.
GirlSpace Demo Day Back in September, we partnered with Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana's out-of-school-time program, GirlSpace, to host a girls-only coding program at our Lincoln Park studio. On Tuesday, December 10th, the girls will present their coding creations to their friends and family!
Winter Showcase Our special awards ceremony will take place on December 13th from 4:00pm-6:00pm at all three studios. Current Codeverse members will demo their apps and games in front of a panel of judges to become the Winter Showcase champion! RSVP here.
