Code Your Custom Game

Work with your Guide and on your own to create a custom game straight from your imagination.

Publish and Share Your Game and Video

Share the link with friends and families to increase your number of plays! Every game over 1,000 plays gets free Codeverse Swag!

Win up to $1,000

Games will be judged with the help of the Codeverse Community - the top three winners in each age group will win cash prizes up to $1,000 each!

How to Win!

There will be 1st-3rd place prizes for each age group (Under 9 and 9 & Over) as well as 20 Superlative Categories to be nominated for and win.

Potential Prizes

1st Place will win $1,000, 2nd Place will win $500, and 3rd Place will win $250. All games with 1k+ will win Codeverse Swag & join our “1000 Plays Club". New this year, all games are eligible to win $50 in the Spacedog Superlative Awards

Criteria 1: Game Design

Games should have a clear objective or storyline. Include challenges or obstacles to add more complexity for the player. Create an end state to let the player know if they have won or lost.

Criteria 2: Creativity

The game should be unique to you! Games should be different from the Codeverse Missions and include unique elements that showcase your imagination.

Criteria 3: Quality of Code

Your code should be organized well and use concepts that accomplish the game's goal. Complexity (and simplicity) of code will be evaluated. Note: a lot of lines of code is not always a good thing!

Criteria 4: Presentation

In your video presentations, clearly explain your game, why you built it, how it works. Personality and showmanship are always welcome!
